Organized religions claim ownership/origination of morals, yet anyone can be moral without any religious influence. I am good because I choose to be good. I am honest because I choose to be honest.
Do you cherry-pick from your particular brand of religious doctrine or are you a free-thinking individual?
Moral Shifting Zeitgeist:
Derren Brown is amazing. He can easily read people's body language and actions to determine what it is he wants to know about you. He also uses his abilities to know exactly what to say to you to get you to believe or do almost anything. The more easily influenced you are, the easier it is for him to use subliminal programming on you. His process is the same that con-artists use to dupe people into believing in religion, and also the same methods that so called psychics use to make themselves look accurate when all they are really being is general in their readings.
Instant Conversion - Part 1:
Derren: "I used to be a full-on, happy, happy Christian until my mid 20's. Then I started to realize that my belief is just as prone to circular logic and self fulfillment as all the New Age nonsense which bugged me..."
Instant Conversion - Part 2:
Explanation of Derren's method:
Cold Reading:
This is similar to the same techniques so-called psychics and new-agers use to swindle you out of your hard-earned moneny. Given enough general information, some people will easily believe that the readings are personal and accurate.
Simon Pegg wants a what, a BMX Leather Bike Jacket?:
I'm not sure how much information prepping Derren did, such as maybe asking Simon's relatives if there was something that Simon always wanted as a child to make Derren's task of subliminally changing Simon's mind easier, but it's still fascinating to see the process of anchoring mind-control messages by touching at the right time (NLP - Neurolinguistic Programming). Also, notice all the objects and art in the room. Simon was literally bombarded with things that resemble bikes. This was the British version. In the version I saw here in the US, they showed more of the images at the end.
My Greatest Prize It seems as each year ends, I look back and think of my friends, What I did right what I did wrong, Who came into my life and who is gone.
But every year there are those who remain, Looking only for friendship nothing else to gain. They have stayed by me through good and bad, Smiled when I am happy held me when I've been sad.
After so many years you begin to realize, That a friend is life's greatest prize, Not the pot of gold at the end of a rainbow, That we seem to seek where ever we go.
So as I grow older and begin another New Year's Day, I will thank God for those friends He sent my way. And my New Years resolution will always be, To thank Him again for every breath of life He's given me.
Then I will pray He will show me the way, Give me wisdom and guide me through each day. And most of all at the end of each year, Keep by me those friends I will always hold so dear. And as I make new friends I'll treasure the old, For the firs
One passion I have is exposing the lies and the hidden con-artists that spread them. We are still on a path of global annihilation and it is way past time for people to wake up to that fact.
I love to write and play on words. I also have a passion for artistic painting and photography.
I trade ratings and comments, so definitley hit me up and I'll return the favor!
