A big mistake so many people make is they try so hard to be friendly and to gain friends. I know a lot of people have a hard time finding friends, whether it be because they are shy or simply because it's what the current social atmosphere is providing. All that aside, it's more important to not alter your personality, solely to create friendships. When you try too hard to make friends and make existing friendships stronger, you're actually embellishing and sometimes even completely changing your personality. It's not healthy or fair to you and your friends. A way to help yourself to be better able to grow friendships is to work on what's preventing you from being confident in yourself. Ask yourself what you feel are your character flaws, and then ask why. If you figure out a reason why, work on a plan to fix it. If you can't find an answer, let it go, because either it's not real or it's simply not yet time to deal with it. I know all this is kinda jumbled. Get back to me
