| STUFF SANDRA LIKES | | Interests: | Beagles, internet marketing, reading, cooking and baking, puzzle games on the computer (I love 'Hidden Object' games!) and basically just enjoy spending time with my husband and dog!
Since hurting my back at work in August 2006 I have been unable to return to work, so I am working extremely hard at building my online business. Even if I was to be miraculously cured of my back injury, I still would not be able to work out of the home as my husband suffers from a health condition that requires him to have somebody with him at all times. He is outwardly fine, but he can have blackouts at any moment, so requires someone around just in case. This gives me time to work on my business - around my own physical capacities of course!!
| | Music: | I've been listening to a few country music stations from the US online - I enjoy those. One song I like, but is quite sad, is Tim McGraw's 'If You're Reading This'. I also like Pink, Gwen Stefani, Chris Isaak, and pretty much any of the contemporary top 40 at the moment. Can't abide rap, house or techno - but open to just about anything else.

| | Movies: | My all time favourites have to be 'While You Were Sleeping', 'Never Been Kissed' and the two Bridget Jones movies - I know, they're unashamedly chick flicks! The last movie I saw was 'Prince Caspian' - I love the Narnia series and hope that Walden Media manage to find a new studio to make the rest of the movies now that Disney has dropped them! I like drama, romance, comedy, thrillers, arthouse and the occasional horror. | | TV: | I love NCIS, House, Two and Half Men, How I Met Your Mother, Bones, The Big Bang Theory, Thank God You're Here - that's an Australian show for all you non-Aussies, and I also like watching home improvement, cooking and pet shows and real-life medical and rescue shows. | | Books: | That's a hard one - I can't really say a favourite. One of my favourite authors is Jude Deveraux, but I haven't read any of her books for a while. I'm pretty much into contemporary Chick Lit, thrillers - like Mary Higgins Clark books, and anything that is inspiring. Just finished 'The Chronicles of Narnia' - CS Lewis, what an amazing man! Have the whole set in one volume - in the order in which Mr Lewis wanted them to be read - which makes for one heavy book!! A true life book I can highly recommend is 'Angel Dogs' - a truly inspiring and heartwarming book, check out my website for a link to this book at Amazon.com Also 'Tuesdays with Morrie' and 'Marley and Me' - wonderful non-fiction books to read. | | Heroes/Idols: | I'll have to give this one some thought - but I do admire my father. He has just turned 81 yrs old, but as fit and healthy as a 60 yr old, although he does need a knee replacement after wrecking his knee in his 20s. He sees the good in everybody, and is one of those people that everyone loves as soon as they meet him. He's extremely generous, and showers love on his 5 daughters and 6 grandchildren. Our partners and our friends automatically become members of his family. |
