This one tank systemis not practical because the backup hearing system is in conflict with the solar heating system. If the back up system heats the water in the tank solar heated water will have no place to go.
RULE #1 Isolat heat collection area from heat storage area.
RULE #2 Isolate stored hot water from back up heating system.
