Tribute Poem For Ft. Hood Soldiers
'Tis war, the cry, the yelling mess,
Come one, come all, you've all been blessed,
The battlefield where men are tried,
Red plains of carnage, some have died,
The touch, the stain, the sight defiled,
A vision of hell bringing bile,
To your lips, oh, so acrid taste,
A time of battle, some say waste,
Rotate, rotate, come visit home,
See fam'ly, children, ne'er more roam,
Alas, 'tis but a respite now,
Small visit, so precious flower,
To see, to hold, the fam'ly here,
Friends, such lovers, so always dear,
Alas, a monster in the midst,
Coward, villain, he causes mist,
A crimson spray of their lives good,
Hate of freedom he sprayed with blood,
Senseless slaughter on innocents,
Pain, hurt, and ache go forward hence,
Villain, the cad, the coward who,
He saw no good, saw no true blue,
In his mind, the evil and vile,
Great thoughts of rage, the stagnant pile,
Cut down men who stood for right,
Sending them towards that good night,
They'll be remembered for good stand,
While he is loathed throughout all lands,
Soldiers who did their duty well,
A maniac will rest in hell!
