 Blabberisms...
I tend to go on rants. Read if you'd like... I live in the United States, where there is Freedom of Speech, and I definitely use mine. If you're one to be easily offended, please don't read my blogs.
BEWARE FREE TRIALS!!
I just saw a really eye-opening news report about those "free" trial offers from companies, legit, and not.

They advise against using you Bank Account, because that's where these people's money has been stolen from.

Bottom line: Always read the fine print!!

"More and more people are reporting that companies are taking money out of their bank accounts without their knowledge. Phil Shuman talked with consumer advocates who say the situation is surging out of control."

I've heard of people in past years having trouble canceling their accounts with AOL. I don't know if that is still a problem these days or not. My brother-in-law was one who a few years ago cancelled his account with AOL and kept getting billed. Finally after trying every way he could think of to stop the billing, he had to cancel his credit card.

Ehh...apparently I'll have to cancel one of my credit cards, as Central Coast Nutraceuticals is listed on ripoffreport.com and other complaint sites, taking money after orders are canceled, returned, and called in about.

I need to cancel my card before 30 days is up and I get charged for another shipment, despite getting the email that my order is canceled.

I just can't take the risk!!

YIKES.

Are Central Coast Nutraceuticals the ones who sell that Hoodia Water stuff? If so, I've read a lot of reports online about people being ripped off by them and getting billed for products they didn't want.

That's the problem with companies who's business model is based on free trial offers. They make virtually all their money on auto-rebills. And in order to cancel, one generally has to jump through a bunch of carefully orchestrated hoops.

Many people forget to cancel within the trial period, which is exactly what the company hopes for. That way, they can bill again and send their crap. And even if you call to cancel, many times the cancellation is not processed. Heck, even AOL defrauded people that way.

Bottom line, once they have your account # you're in their mercy. And Ducky, even before you cancel your card you should let your card company know that you do not authorize any further charges from that merchant. That way they can't sneak one in early...which is another nasty
