Press Release:
Connie Rae's musical journey took off in 2001 when her eldest sister Kerin lost her battle with breast cancer. It proved that life can be short and gave Connie Rae the gift of knowing she wanted to share music that was down in her soul. It was then she began to write, record and perform her music.
Her first demo "Naked Truth" intrigued local clubs owners to book her as the supporting act for legendary artists performing at their establishments. Since October of 2002 she has shared the bill with Grammy Award winning and nominated artists from blues to rock, pop to country. These artists include Leon Russell, Tower of Power, Average White Band, Eddie Money, Lee Ritenour, Dave Mason, John Waite, The Blind Boys of Alabama, Diane Schuur, Dwight Yoakum, John Mayall, Shemika Copeland, Robben Ford, Walter Trout, Lou Gramm, Dennis Quaid, Tuck and Patti, John Hammond, John Mayall, Anthony Gomes, Coco Montoya, Andy Summers, Savoy Brown, Marcia Ball, Vonda Shepard, Gary Sinise, The Fabuolus Thunderbirds, Mike Campbell of Tom Petty, and Rod Piazza and The Mighty Flyers. She has also volenteered her time for The Susan G. Komen Race For The Cure.
"Having the opportunity to have shared the stage with such amazing artists and to have recorded my first album in such a prestigious studio is a dream come true! To be supported by, to have worked with, and to have loved such amazing people along the way, has exceeded my every expectation! It was my honor to have found my way to Cherokee Studios and have been taken under The Robb's wings to create this labor of love! My dream now is to receive air play and hopefully share my music with an even larger audience! I hope also to travel world wide to share inspiration, love and healing through the power that music can bring!" |
