Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: Pemerintah akan menaikkan gaji pejabat tinggi negara per 1 Januari 2010. Kenaikan didasarkan pada instruksi Presiden Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono untuk menyusun sistem remunerasi pejabat negara secara adil dan tepat.

Hal ini dilontarkan Menteri Keuangan, Sri Mulyani Indrawati, dan Menteri Negara Pemberdayaan Aparatur Negara, E.E. Mangindaan di Jakarta, Rabu (28/10). Menurut Sri, dasar hukum sistem remunerasi pejabat tinggi tersebar di lebih dari 35 peraturan perundang-undangan.

Akibat kondisi tersebut, lanjut Sri, terjadi ketimpangan penghasilan antarpejabat negara, khususnya pada jenis tunjangan dan fasilitas. Maka, Sri menambahkan pemerintah membutuhkan peraturan pemerintah baru yang otomatis akan mencabut peraturan lama.

Tim evaluasi remunerasi tersebut diakui Sri Mulyani sudah dibentuk pada 2006 silam. Alhasil sistem baru bakal siap dijalankan per 1 Januari 2010.(RAS)
