How are my new year's resolutions holding up?
Eat a good lunch...no.
Take the stairs more often...yes.
Take time to write letters...no.
Keep a journal...sort of.
Blog regularly...I'm trying.

| Oh, the weather outside is frightful... |
Stuff to do in the cold:
- volunteer at a shelter/soup kitchen
- snowball fights
- roast marshmallows
- take pictures!!!!!!!!!
- bake cookies and cakes
- write letters and Christmas cards
- go shopping

The Hippo A Head or Tail--which does he lack?
I think his Forward's coming back!
He lives on Carrots, Leeks and Hay;
He starts to yawn--it takes All Day--

I could totally go for some carrots, leeks and hay right now. Roethke won a Pulitzer for his other poems, but this Shel-Silverstein-ish one is so true, too. |
