Thanks for coming by to read about Radio TA. My name is Tim Austin, I am a former radio programmer, music director and announcer. I was in the business for over 20 years and recently decided to start my own internet Radio Station. Thus was born the idea of Radio TA.

The station plays 80's rock to now, anything from Poison to Pink, Metallica to Madonna, Nickleback, Bon Jovi, Fergie, Aerosmith, Van Halen..... you get the drift. Because of my experience as both a radio programmer and music director, I was able to acquire software that allows me to schedule out my music daily, just like your local station does. Hopefully soon, I will be able to raise enough donations to purchase the software I need to actually announce live on the station(I was finally able to buy this software, so now I am live at the touch of a button on my computer!!!). There is a "Donate" button under the chat room.

Right now everything is pre-recorded, even if it is just seconds before it airs. With the software I am looking at, I'll be able to announce "live". The station is on 24/7 broadcasting from my computer. When I am here on Yuwie, I can even play your requests. The male voice you hear saying Radio TA and Rock This and so on is me. The female voice is my friend Stephanie who is in my top friends. Please add her when you get a chance, she's a sweetie!

I also have started to pay for my streaming, that way you get a higher quality sound and no buffering since it is on it's own server.  Listen in Windows Media player or  Winamp by adding the url http://rockthisradio.com/TA69.asx .

It is totally non-profit, I do it because I enjoy the music I've programmed. Everything you hear has been a hit. While most of my experience was in Rock Radio, I did my time in Top 40 and other formats as well. This isn't a music box, or playlist thing, it's an actual internet radio station. Please feel free to leave me any comments or even requests. I do a show everyday from 7pm to 11pm central time Monday thru Friday. If I am on Yuwie, you can always find me in the chatroom, where it is very easy to make your requests.
