Well, today marks my second year anniversary with Yuwie.

As it turns out I was offline a good portion of the last year so am now having to catch-up with the things that are new and improved and to realize that without constant promotion my downline group growth is less than I had envisioned:

It seems that the bulk of my group has lost interest in this upstart social network and only a handful are at all active.  I am surprised that so many have left, but believe that Yuwie is still a viable social network and is just going through growing pains in it's early years.

I've discovered some new additions to Yuwie and am of the opinion that they show a positive influence and as newer additions continue to be developed that Yuwie will be competitive in it's genre and viable over time as it forms it's own "niche" in the social networking scene.

Most successful business ventures grow slowly and generally become "established" sometime around their fifth year.  Online start-ups can vary widely from that depending on various conditions that only internet companies might have to face.

My guess is that Yuwie will meet and beat the difficulties in it's path and I expect to post my third year anniversary blog to a larger number of members next September.

Considering that Yuwie is now a year old and still attracting new members and advertisers, and is not quite nearing the point where growth will accelerate wildly yet (I would now guess at maybe the 3 to 5 million member mark) through 'word of mouth' and press attention - what sort of 'gimmick' (besides the obvious one of shared revenue) does Yuwie need to spur growth through 'buzz'?

There is apparently a music player in the works (see a blog posted by RAKRadioAnthony  called "*****SNEAK PEAK AT YUWIE MUSIC PLAYER*****" here: http://ww7.yuwie.com/blog/entry.asp?id=338018&eid=358423) which will be a big boost!  But what else would you members like to see as far a widgets or such?
