I have noticed that there are many people here on the internet that love to write, and share their stories. I have decided to put together a list of resources for those writers that would like to do more writing (and perhaps even get paid to write!) Some of the following are links to helpful places where you can write and/or get help with your writing skills. I will update this blog frequently with new information so check back often!
This first link it to one of my published articles where I publish online. It is a "hub" for writers to work in, and develop their work, with support. Although open to all writers, I would suggest this is for writers more comfortable with their work and serious article writers. This second link is a blogspot that one of our Yuwie members started. It's a really first class site called "The Portfolio" and there are some really talented writers over there. To be considered for the site you will need to go there and submit an author request to Richard, and you'll be up and running!
I've been in the sign business for over 20 years, doing marketing for small businesses all the way up to large corporations. I've learned alot about visual communications along the way and here are a few tips to help you here at Yuwie: (I'll be adding to this list as more things come to mind)

1. Lose the news feeds on your pages. They take too long to load, and honestly folks, anyone who watches the news will go to their favorite news source on the web. I know it seems like a great service to provide to your friends, but chances are they are'nt watching the news on your page. They are coming to your page for other reasons.
2. Make sure your layout is clean and easy to read. Too many colors and too many fonts compete, and it makes it hard for your friends to do what they came for, which is to either read about you or converse with you.If it's hard to read your blogs chances are your friends will either skip or not read all of your writing. You can still have a beautiful layout without cluttering it up.
3.If at all possible, use one of your favorite personal photos as your avatar, and leave it alone. Your friends will come to know and remember you by that photo, and if it's something generic, they will less likely remember it . Another problem with generic avatars is that your friends that don't really know what you look like will have a harder time relating to you without a face to put with the name.
4. Don't put too much clutter on your layout! Clutter kills! It may seem like the more the better but this is not true! It will be harder to view your page and make it confusing.
5. Add photos whenever possible of your family, your interests, and your hobbies. This makes it interesting when friends come to visit. It's fun to get a peek into others lives and see what makes them tick!
6. DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT, post "internet making money" offers all over your layout! This looks cheap and scary when your friends come to visit. If you just MUST share your "business opportunities", do it in a blog or message them privately. (but make sure they don't MIND recieving this information first!)
7. Start a club. But if you do, FOLLOW THROUGH! Start a club that is something you are passionate about and check your clubs progress! Don't start a club then abandon ship! Help your club grow, after all YOU are the one who started it!
8. Be consistent with whatever "passion" or "message" you feel is necessary for your experience here at Yuwie. For me, it's letting people know that I am an artist and a writer, and that I have layouts to share.
I also frequently invite people to ask for prayer, because that is an important thing to me. I also have a passion to enlighten people to the things that take place in the world that the mainstream media won't always tell you. Don't bug your friends with your passions but let them know who you are! There's nothing wrong with that! Thats one of the reasons you are here, right? To be yourself? So have fun with it!
Well, I'm 49 years old and not afraid to admit it-
I love animals (I have 3 dogs and 5 cats- the last cat by default but she gets to stay- I'm such a sucker)
I can be silly as all get out, but I can also be quite serious- ( I guess that's because I'm left and right brain balanced) I'm creative, and am a great friend with lots of integrity (so I've been told!)
My best buddy my dad Jim (RIP) was a chief in the navy and served in World War 2 on the USS North Carolina. His ship was in more battles at sea then any other ship in Naval History- he was in the Pacific and Guadacanal- and was the first battleship to sail into Pearl Harbor after the attack...
My mother Mary (RIP) met my dad while he was on leave in WW2, and they were married for 60 years.
I have 3 boys, the youngest 2 are 21 and 22 and have given me a run for my money ( I have a 2 wrinkles in my forehead) because of them....
I'm California born and raised and I'm living back in the house I grew up in (it's good to be home!) - in the good old San Francisco Bay Area.
Quite an interesting place to grow up- I remember Haight Ashbury in the sixties and seventies during the love and peace movement, the riots during the Vietnam War days in Berkeley, the night my brother came home after seeing the Beatles in San Francisco, the devastating Loma Prieta earthquake (7.1) that hit on our fault in 1989, the dot com boom and bust in the 90's and early 00's- the Rise of Silicon Valley (which we live in) and the growth of the rap/hip-hop movement in neighboring Oakland- so many many things- a veritable incubator for fresh and creative thinking...
I am also an artist and a writer, but I'm still not sure what I want to be when I grow up...lol...
I've been in advertising for over 20 years, 13 of those in business with my partner. We're about to hang up the towel on a brick and mortar business and then.......

I love to garden, almost to the point of fanaticism. I call my backyard my "laboratory", if that gives you any clues....lol....
I'm here at Yuwie to make friends, minister, and build another business at the same time. If the business part does'nt work that's OK, I'll still stick around. Genuine friendships are the gift of a good life.....
( but hey if you can socially network, and make money at the same time well then "more power to us", right? )

That's me in a nutshell. I'm actually a whole lot more complicated than that but I'll save the rest for my autobiography...lol.....
I have so many stories to tell I'm not sure there's enough time in the world to tell them all............
But this is a start, huh?
(Oh and by the way, I make lots of layouts for Yuwie users. If you want a new layout go under my pic and you'll see them there under layouts. And the slideshow on my page- that's some of my artwork in Adobe Illustrator CS2- I ususually work in other mediums but Illustrator has been my newest medium)
Well here are my March stats- I'm not suprised it's not building faster but that's OK because now I'm working on cross networking my writing and my Yuwie- I am in a learning mode right now so I have'nt been promoting Yuwie as much- The thing that is greatest for me here is I have a "platform" for my links, my writing and a slide show of my artwork, plus I make alot of my own comments which is fun to send to my friends. And I've made some wonderful wonderful friends! (and oh yeah- I get to post pics of my wonderful fur-babies and my garden...lol...!!)

Here's my stats for January, slightly down from Dec. but I expected that. I spent less time on Yuwie, and had less page views for myself, but the good news is my referral tree is growing, I have 47 people in my downline now, and am at level 3, which I am quite happy with.
You'll notice that although my own page views are down, my referral trees page views are rising, and that's what you want to see happen. Those numbers climbing is a very good sign- the tree is getting stronger!
I'm going to continue as I have and focus on bringing some more new people on board this month, and focus on supporting those in my referral tree and help them any way I can.

OK, now those of you that understand business and the way an MLM works, you know that Yuwie IS NOT A GET RICH QUICK SCHEME- any business venture requires time and commitment!
Now if you think about it, lets say I keep my earnings increasing at this rate- if they continue to double I will be making $2,400 a month within a year. And that is without a full time commitment- so if I put more effort into Yuwie I could be easily looking at that $10,000 month residual income flow.
It's a do-able thing folks- Yuwie is young, since I've joined 2 months ago we've gone from 200,000 members to 400,000- and there is NO prediction of things slowing down
SO THE SNOWBALL IS ROLLING- KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK EVERYBODY!

NOVEMBER STATS
Ok, now some people might look at this and think big deal .49 cents but I have to tell you that this is SOOOO EXCITING!!
You'll notice how many page views I have, even though I'm only at level 2, so my efforts are paying off- now I am in the process of switching gears to start working on building my downline-
The last few weeks I have been working hard at making my page nice, and something worthwhile to look at, making sure that I have been working on quality relationships, and doing alot of artistic layouts (which by the way has contributed to the page views ALOT)
So bottom line, work it, don't give up, things take time, and use your time, talents and treasures to make your Yuwie experience the best you can!!!!
